Construction & Demolition (C&D) Debris Recycling

What is Construction & Demolition (C&D) Debris?

Construction and demolition (C&D) waste is generated from construction, renovation, repair, and demolition of houses, large building structures, roads, and bridges. C&D waste is made up of wood, steel, concrete, gypsum, masonry, plaster, metal, and asphalt

Why Recycle C&D?

South Carolina produces roughly 4,000,000 tons of C&D waste on a yearly basis, yet only 16% of this material is recycled. This lack of recycling is decreasing the longevity of our landfills for future generations.

The A-1 Difference:

A-1 Transfer & Recycling INC. owns and operates a C&D recycling and transfer station where roughly 80% of material is diverted from the landfill. When dumpsters are brought to our facility our dedicated employees diligently process and sort the material into their respective categories. The bulk material is then transported to outside recycling facilities for further processing.
